Sheikalmudi Bungalow was built in 1928 and was home to many Tea Estate Managers from the Colonial Era. The architecture and many other features of the Bungalow are reminiscent of the great abundant life the British lived. Times have gone by, but Sheikalmudi stands testimony to how life was back in the day. The absolute silence this place offers is ideal to rejuvenate one’s senses.

We sometimes urge our guests to just do nothing at Sheikalmudi Bungalow and take in all that Nature has to offer them. The sight from the easy chair on the verandah is spectacular, with Sholayar Dam view on one side and rainforest on the other, the calming nature of the place is infectious.
